Illinois Federal Contests
2010 General Election
The general election contests below represent IMPAC-recommended candidates for some of the federal races in Illinois. The IMPAC Council makes recommendations to the American Medical Association Political Action Committee (AMPAC), after extensive discussion on each contest. Decisions are based on each candidate’s need and voting record.
Non-involvement in any race does not necessarily mean the candidate is not a supporter of physicians and our patients. Ultimately, the AMPAC Board makes final determinations on support and contribution amounts for congressional candidates, up to the legal maximum of $5,000 per candidate per election.
